Racha Island (or Raya Island)
Located 12 km south of Phuket, Racha Island is well-known as excellent diving and snorkelling daytrip destinations.
Racha Yai is quickly developed in \to a place to stay with a number of bungalows and resorts.The main bay called Ao Pak Tok has a strip of fine white sand tuck deep into the long, U-shaped welcoming many tourists . The other bay, Ao Siam , is a pretty place where lonely strolls in solitude are possible.
Racha Noi is uninhabited and has no accommodation ,but there is some great diving site.
Travelling to Racha Island is about 45 minutes by speedboat or more than an hour by long-tail boat.

Naka Island
Naka Yai Island is rapidly changing from a fishing village into a fairly exclusive resort location.Most of the beaches here are broad and sandy. Along its eastern shore the is the view of Phang-Nga Bay
Naka Noi Island is known as the “pearl island” as it’s the site where rare South Sea Pearls are cultivated.

Rang Yai Island
It is the small ,uninhabited island that has developed into an activity center for groups. Spending the day kayaking, windsurfing, mountain biking, hiking, playing volleyball and more or relax in the shade on the sandy beach. There’s no accommodation ,but camping can be arranged.

Maprao Island
This island of fishing villagers is reached within 10 minutes by long-tail boat from Laem Hin pier on the east coast of Phuket. A peaceful place with agro-tours and homestay with local families available. The island’s rich mangrove forests can be explored by boat. Between Phuket and Maprao are some rustic floating restaurants with live seafood held in submerged pens to select for a fresh seafood meals. Near the restaurants are a few lonely floating bungalows for rent.

Lone Island
Lone Island is situated in the middle of Chalong Bay, remains a quiet ,lush place with only few upmarket resorts in operation.

Bon Island
This island ,just 15 minutes off the shore of Rawai, is a beautiful tiny isle with soft white sand and good snorkeling sites. The Evason Phuket advertises the island as its own private island with only luxurious honeymoon suite.
Kaew Island
This speck of an island is found just offshore as the southernmost trip of Phuket, and can be seen from Phromthep cape viewpoint. Long-tail boat transfer to the island can be arranged in Rawai.There is not much here besides a large Buddha statue.

CAPES

Ka Cape
Located at the extreme southwest 7 km from Chalong Bay, Ka Cape is a popular stop for Thai visitors. South of the point is Laem Ka Beach, a sandy strip dotted with rocks and boulders. The extensive coral reefs offshore make for interesting snorkeling mornings. Bungalows ,Thai food and boat charters to the island are available.

Phromthep Cape
The cape has tall cliffs on the south and was formerly called by local villagers “Laem Jao” (The Gods’ Cape).From the cliff ,running down to the boulders at the sea is a line of palm trees. Emerald green currents swirl in the deep water and breakers hurl themselves in vain against the rocky point. It is one of Phuket’s most inspiring vistas which is the most beautiful place to catch Phuket’s famous sunset.

Singh Cape
It is located about 1 km south of the entrance to Surin Beach. Singh cape is not visible from the road, but the small parking area is located about half way up the grade at the north end of Kamala Beach look for the small hand made signs.This is one of the undeveloped beach frequently missed by visitors who are unaware of its location. It is a five minute walk down a fairly steep path to reach this remote little beach. The natural beauty of this beach is enhanced by the fact it is well below the highway which lends a serene and quiet feeling that is not always present on other beaches in Phuket.
